Shipping Your Presents

Besides proper packaging, sending the gifts as early as possible is always a good idea just to be certain everything arrives on time for Christmas.

Here are some pointers:

  • Chose a sturdy box.
  • Package contents well to avoid shifting. Use either air-filled bags or popcorn for protection.
  • Place a copy of the recipient’s and sender’s address on the inside of the box.
  • Close the box with sturdy packaging tape.
  • Don’t tie packaging string around it.
  • Print a complete address on the label for the addressee as well as the sender’s address. Protect the label with clear tape.Gifts that leave the country must have a sticker declaring it’s contents. Such declarations are available at the post office.
  • Consult the post office or their website for shipping deadlines for greeting cards and gifts.
