Early Morning Walk in Vancouver

Early one Saturday morning I went for a walk, because there was a little blanket of fog covering the city. If the forecast calls for fog and snow, I make sure I set the alarm clock, no matter how late I go to bed. I love those rare occasions, and I make sure I can capture them. No matter what. That morning was so peaceful and quiet. The only people already out were those who probably had to go to work. After all the Christmas buying season was in full swing. Below are a few photographs of the more touristy part of Vancouver.

Coal Harbour

Coal Harbour is a downtown area known for its marina, mountain views, and mix of casual and upscale waterside eateries. Seaplanes take off in the shadow of gleaming condo towers near the modern, grass-roofed Vancouver Convention Centre. The paved Seawall walking and cycling path follows the shore to forested Stanley Park.

Gastown

Gastown is one of Vancouver’s most vibrant and unique areas. As the first downtown core of the city, the neighbourhood has transitioned into a centre of innovation and truly memorable experiences, for locals and tourists alike, while maintaining a strong connection to its history.

After a morning walk on weekends, I go home, make myself a coffee, and go back to a bed and finish my sleep. Good times!
