Instructions to Assemble the Paris Advent Calendar

Material & Tools

Assembling: glue stick or glue pen, liquid glue. And if available liquid glue and a rigid small brush.
Scissors if bottom flap corners need a tiny trim.
Fillers: treats and tissue paper to loosely wrap the items before placing them in the box.
Tape if box bottom does not stay closed.

I find it easier to fold the paper first towards the front, and then towards the back. A metal ruler can also be helpful to create a straight fold.

Assembling the HOUSES with Gabled Roofs

Fold along all creases. Indicated in PINK on the house above.
It works best if house wall is glued first. I use a glue stick. Let it dry.
Open the house and close, DO NOT GLUE, the bottom.
Prebend all roof flaps a bit towards inside. Put glue to all flaps. Match the large flap up with the other roof. With a letter opener press down the 4 small flaps on the inside of the house. Let it dry.

Fill the house and use a bit of tape to close.

Assembling the CORNER HOUSES

Fold along all creases. Indicated in PINK on the house above.
Glue to bottom to the opposite part of the front of the house. Let it dry.
Glue the house 2 walls together. Let it dry.
Put glue on all roof flaps where indicated. Glue the roof parts to the inside of the house. With a letter opener press down the flaps on the inside of the house. Let it dry.

Fill the house and use a bit of tape to close.

Assembling the SIDES of the LOUVRE

Fold over along all scored line, indicated in PINK.
Glue the sides of the building to the roof and the bottom.
Fill the box and tape the bottom to the back.

Filling the HOUSES

When dry fill boxes.
Wrapping treats loosely in tissue paper gives them a better hold in the houses. It helps to keep the bottoms to stay closed.

Assembling the PYRAMID

Fold along all creases outlined in PINK.
Glue the flap where indicated. Line up pink line with edge of pyramid.
Glue the the pyramid sides together.

Now it’s ready to fill.

Assembling the EIFFEL TOWER

Fold both tower parts and the bottom along all creases, indicated in PINK.
Glue the bottom to the tower.
Match up the sides, glue together, and press together.

Fill and use a bit of tape to close.

Assembling the TREES

Each tree needs 3 parts of the same size.
Fold along all creases, here indicated in BLUE.
Put glue on all back sides.
Match up back halves and press together.
Trim off white edges.
