My Favorite Christmas Movies

Here’s a list of movies I LOVE to watch at Christmas time. They may not all qualify as Christmas movies by the experts, but that does not matter to me at all. Especially since Die Hard is in the category as well… What’s your favorite? Leave a comment below.

Elf, Christmas movie

Elf – Will Ferrell in his best role! An Ed Asner is the most best looking Santa I have ever seen. This movie even inspired some Christmas decorations at our place. It’s currently my favorite must watch movie every year.

in-Bruges, movie

In Bruges – Set in the most romantic town one can imagine. Not a traditional movie per se but if Die Hard is considered a Christmas movie, then so is this one.

Bad Santa, Billy Bob Thornton

Bad Santa and Bad Santa 2 – Only Billy Bob Thornton will do this role justice.

the family man, Christmas movie

The Family Man – It’s one of those quiet Christmas movies.

The-Fitzgerald-Family-Christmas

The Fitzgerald Family Christmas – This movie is not a big Hollywood production, but rather a really well told story.

the Family Stone, Christmas Movie

The Family Stone – Diane Keaton can do no wrong. In my opinion…

a-Christmas-Carol-Disney

A Christmas Carol – There’s a lot of versions available. I love the original from 1938 plus the one from Disney.

national-lampoons-christmas-vacation

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation – This movie used to be a must watch every year for a very long time.

the ref, Christmas movie

The Ref – Not a very well known Christmas movie. But it’s fun to watch once in a couple of years.

the Grinch, Dr Seuss

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas – I read the book every year. It as wonderful!

A Charlie Brown Christmas

A Charlie Brown Christmas – Never knew the story until Klaus gave me the book a few Christmases ago. Love the book, loved the movie!

Miracle on 34th Street

Miracle on 34th Street (1947) – I much prefer the original version.
