Tiny Tabletop Christmas Trees

The first home away from the parents is usually rather small. But that does not mean one cannot have a little Christmas tree. The Monterey Cyprus (Cupressus macrocarpa) is common in December as a mini Christmas tree, but you can grow them all year

Monterey Cyprus (Cupressus macrocarpa), Christmas tree with tree candle

Our mini Christmas trees are each placed in a coffee mug. The black mug is from Starbucks, and the white one is a souvenir made by an artist on Salt Spring Island, BC. For some Christmas glow attach a Christmas tree candle holder with a candle to the mug handle.

Here are the same tiny trees in white mugs.

Grinch Christmas tree

A small Japanese Cedar was wrapped with thin green wire. A white Christmas ornament with a feather detail was attached to at the top. The weight of the ornament will bend the tree and make it look like straight out of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

rosemary Christmas Tree

Here’s a very fragrant Christmas tree, it’s a rosemary bush trimmed into a tree shape. Planted in a gold pot and adorned around the stem with brown and gold ornaments and pine cones makes it look very elegant. The ornaments also keep the dirt out of sight.
