Instructions for Paper Cutouts

Snowflake

This is my favorite paper cut design for snow-themed decorations. Its delicate symmetry and crisp edges capture the quiet beauty of winter in a way that feels both elegant and timeless. With just a single sheet of paper and a careful fold, an ordinary material is transformed into something intricate and expressive—resembling a snowflake frozen in mid-fall.

Across North Wales The snowflakes wander, A swarm of white bees. Over the woods A cold veil lies. A load of chalk Bows down the trees.

Glimma is Swedish for gleam or shimmer. It’s also the name of IKEA’s extra large tealights used for the above display. A paper snow star is placed on a glass plate and a tealight in the center of the star.
