Straw Star

This lovely gift was wrapped with red gift wrap that cost $1.50 for 8 meters (almost 8 yards). The green satin ribbon is recycled from a gift I once received. Just iron ribbons before using them again. The beautiful straw star accent was purchased in a package of 18 for $4.99. Instead of straw stars one can use Christmas ornaments.

Products used are from IKEA, 2007

Remnants

Over the years one collects countless little items that one day can be reused to beautifully wrap a gift.

Material

An empty box with separate lid
Purple tissue paper to wrap the box and lid
Purple satin ribbon
Large purple chrysanthemum

An old box and lid was wrapped with purple tissue paper. The top was adorned with satin ribbon and a large purple silk flower. Wrapped tone in tone gives it a very elegant look.

The box itself is a gift!

An Ornament

Each year I buy a few Christmas ornaments. I don't buy a lot, but I now have more things than I can possibly put on the tree. One solution for that would be a second tree. This, for me, is out of the question. Therefore I like to recycle my ornaments and use them to adorn a special gift.
