Painted Water Bottle

In 2007 during the May long weekend we stayed at the Sooke Harbour House. It is a beautiful place by the ocean on the southwest corner of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

A very cute and unique way is how the waiters in the restaurant serve the drinking water. The bottles are empty wine bottles that have been painted on. Each was adorned with flowers or fish. The bottle pictured is decorated by a stem of cornflowers.

What you need to create your own work of cute dinner table ware:
Empty white glass bottle
Glass paint
Ideas or images that inspire you

As you may plan a Christmas dinner party, think about painting a personalized water bottle for each of your guests. You may want to include the date of the party and maybe even print the guest's names on them. Or create one bottle per household.

Caution: Only wash the bottles by hand.
