Orange Truffles
500 gr Lindt bittersweet chocolate Preparation Melt 500 gr of chocolate together with the powdered sugar, and butter over a double boiler. Wisk the egg yolks and the cream until smooth, and mix it with the chocolate. Finely chop the zest of 3 oranges and together with the juice boil until its thick like syrup. At the end add the Grand Marnier and mix everything under the chocolate. Put the chocolate in the fridge until it is hard. Once the chocolate is hard, melt the rest of the chocolate together with the vegetable shortening. With a melon scoop cut out little chocolate balls from the hardened chocolate. Place the balls onto parchment paper. Quickly roll the balls in your hands until nicely shaped. Once the remaining chocolate is melted, dip the balls in the chocolate and place them back onto a baking rack. Make a small piping bag, fill it with melted chocolate, and embellish the chocolates with a zick-zack-pattern. Place the truffles in a container and keep them cool until serving.
