Ham and Cheese Spirals

We have enjoyed these little appetizer rolls at my sister-in-law's house countless times. Turns out they are very easy and fast to prepare. And they are a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

1 rolled-out puff pastry dough (about 225 grams / 8 ounces)
100 grams / 3.5 ounces of cooked ham
Gruyère cheese

Preparation

Unroll puff pastry. Don't throw out the paper. Cover 2/3 of the pastry with ham and grate cheese on top. Roll up the dough tightly, start on the side with the ingredients. Wrap the roll in paper and keep in the refrigerator until you are ready to bake it.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius / 350 degrees Fahrenheit, cut the roll into half inch thick slices, and place on baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve right away.

Indian Spirals

Ingredients

1 rolled-out puff pastry dough (about 225 grams / 8 ounces)
100 grams / 3.5 ounces shaved Tandoori chicken
100 grams / 3.5 ounces low fat cream cheese
1/3 teaspoon curry powder

Preparation

Mix the curry powder with the cream cheese. Roll out puff pastry flat on counter and cover about 2/3 with the curried cream cheese. Place the chicken on the cheese.

Repeat the remaining steps the same way as above.
