Cheese and Wine Party

Party food does not always have to be chips and salsa. Try a different version of finger food! Go to your local market and pick up a variety of cheeses. Pick a selection of fresh, soft, medium and hard cheeses. If you are not sure what to pick, ask the sales clerk.

A selection of cheeses

Soft cheeses:
Camembert, Brie, Chaumes, Saint Albray, Stilton, Taleggio, Cottage Cheese, Boursin with pepper or herbs, Vacherin Mont-d'Or

Firm cheeses:
Gruyère, Appenzeller, Parmesan, aged Cheddar, Oka, Edam, Esrom, Tilsiter

Get a good selection of specialty breads anywhere from white to dark. And buy some dry white and red wines.

To save money, tell each one of your guests to bring his or her favorite cheese and/or a bottle of wine.
