A Warm Welcome - The Guestroom

You want your guests to feel welcome and at home with an inviting guestroom.

Clear all your clutter away when you have guests staying in your spare bedroom. To be sure your guestroom meets the standards, you do have to spend some time on your own in the room and sleep at least one night in it. Only then will you see if the room is missing anything or not.

Besides a comfortable bed provide your guests with the following:

• Closet space and empty hangers



• Drawer space



• An extra blanket and pillow



• Desk and chair



• Reading and desk light



• Stationary (see below), local postcards, pen, stamps



• A bottle of water with a drinking glass, a fruitplate, chocolates



• Alarm clock



• A stack of coffee table books and magazines



• A basket with fluffy towels and hotel-size shampoo, shower gel, soap, moisturizer, toothpaste and brush



• Fresh flowers or a Christmas arrangement



• House key, city map, public transport info



• Waste basket

Stationary

You may make your own stationary for your guests. Design a letterhead with on your computer and print the design onto luxurious paper. Example follows:
