Special Decorations

I saved all the ribbons from my wedding bouquet. The organza ribbon was made into bow eventually, which adorn our Christmas tree each year. After the flowers died, that white ribbon stays a reminder of a very special day.

The photograph on the left shows part of our first Christmas tree we had in Canada. It was just a small tree, only about one meter tall (3 feet). As tree top we used a big bow made from white organza ribbon.

The ornament on the left consists of two Champagne corks saved from a special occasion. If you plan to keep corks from several festivities, mark the date on the bottom as a reminder.

This Bride's Tree Collection from Old World includes 12 different ornaments, each representing something to help the newlyweds live a long and happy life together. Ornaments included are: an angel for God's guidance, a house for shelter and protection, a rabbit for hope and faith, a teapot for hospitality, a bird happiness and joy, a rose for beauty and affection, a fruit basket for generosity, a fish for Christ's blessing, a pine cone for motherhood and fruitfulness, a Santa for unselfishness and goodwill, a flower basket for good wishes, and a heart for true love.
