Christmas tree for the birds

This tree was at my friend Suzanne's house. After the season she put it outside because it was still so nice looking. What a wonderful idea.

Once Christmas Is Over

Storing the precious ornaments

Christmas ornaments should be stored in a cool and dry place. The emphasis is on dry. The glass ornaments can suffer damage to the silver lining when kept in a moist environment. Do label the boxes clearly so everybody recognizes the content right away. Store the decorations out of the reach of children and pets. If you store the boxes in the basement, put them on a shelf just to be on the safe side in case a water pipe breaks.

Back to nature

Once Christmas is over and the tree has to go, give it back to nature. There are a lot of opportunities to do so, just check in your local paper. The laziest thing one can do is just dump the tree somewhere on the side of the road. I really wish people would not do that.
