Blackboard

blackboard

Should you have an old blackboard laying around the house, use it as a decorative element by drawing a Christmas tree or maybe a bunch of snowflakes on it. The blackboard shown was beautifully framed.

From the Kitchen Cupboard

Your kitchen may offer a source for unusual containers such as bowls or beautiful plates that can be used to display a small collection of Christmas ornaments. On the image above we used a noodle bowl, two new brown glass ornaments, and a vintage ball.

Baking Cups

The kitchen is full of items that can be repurposed for Christmas decorations. Paper baking cups look magical when a tealight is placed into them. A simple table decoration for a dinner at home.

Christmas Cards in the Cupboard

Christmas card display

Many like to display their Christmas card collection on the mantle, the sideboard or on a wide ribbon hanging on the wall. For others such colourful displays are a decorator's nightmare. There's a solution: the cards can be displayed inside a cupboard. In that case the cards can be left all year and nobody would know about it.
