Candles displayed with no kitsch and plastic. Collect as many flat rocks as you desire. Display tea candles on them. Or place the rocks in a shallow bowl filled with water.

Below is a group of river rocks with one of them wrapped in gold leaf. A gold leaf wrapped rock could even be a gift as it can be used as a paper weight.

Place a couple of river rocks on the floor with a pillar candle. Make sure the candles are placed on a saucer.
